Launch Site of NARAM-52

Southern Colorado Rocketeers, NAR Section 632, has built one of the finest model rocket launch sites in the USA. Additionally, High Power Rockets (HPR) can fly up to 8000 feet. The S.C.O.R.E launch field offers a paved road leading out to a very large gravel covered area, which allows for safe launches of the largest rockets even during the dry season. After launch you have a vast open area for recovery so whether your rocket is big or small you shouldn’t have a problem recovering it. Although there are some rocket-eating canyons close by, the prevailing winds in August are easterly, which offers a broad unobstructed area to find your duration rockets. Highway 78 is about 1/2 mile from the contest range and adjoining ranches have given permission to cross any fences (barbed wire) to retrieve rockets on-foot.
